Wissal Elghalmi

An English to Arabic, Arabic to English, and French to Arabic Freelance Translator with two years of experience, specialising in the fields of Social work, Culture and Heritage, Medicine, General law, Literature and Media and Journalism.

I am a native Arabic speaker and hold a Master degree in Translation Technologies and Specialised Translation from Kaddi Ayad University - Morocco. My career began with enriching internships, where I gained valuable experience as a trainee translator at a news

agency, a non-governmental organisation, and the Ministry of Justice in Morocco. I also have a background in teaching English as a second language at a language center, which further refined my linguistic skills.

Recently, one of my translations was showcased at the 29th edition of the International Book Fair held in Rabat, Morocco, which was a great honour.

As an English teacher I was assigned to teach English as a second language to a group of 10 to 14 year old students, help students in learning grammar, pronunciation and reading, as well as creating activities and assignments to encourage and assist students with language acquisition.

Worked as a design, monitoring, evaluation, and data entry intern, ensuring accurate entry, reviewing, and cleaning of qualitative and quantitative data and translating it from Arabic to English. I also conducted desk research related to social, political, and economic challenges in Morocco.
