Ensured compliance with IFRS, local VAT, and corporate income tax regulations (Federal Tax Authority), while aligning with both governance and shareholder expectations.

Main Responsibilities:

Oversight of accounting operations, internal controls, & monthly closings under IFRS Preparation and submission of VAT returns and implementation of new corporate income tax procedures in compliance with UAE regulations. Lead role in annual external audits, including planning, documentation, and liaison with auditors. Ownership of budgeting, forecasting, and long-term startegic planning Cash and working capital management, including treasury optimization and banking relationships. Regular reporting to the Board and shareholders. Leadership of a multicultural finance team, with focus on development, structure, and performance improvement.

Led monthly IFRS reporting and consolidation for 8 European entities using HFM. Managed P&L analysis, payroll forecasting (€220M annual budget), and corporate reporting. Oversaw SBU consolidation and budgeting processes.

Managed month-end closing and managerial reporting across European operations - more than 20 entities. Acted as liaison between local commercial offices and headquarters departments, ensuring smooth financial communication. Conducted monthly SG&A cost reviews and quarterly market direct profitability analyses by market. Supported forecasting and budgeting processes, mainly for sales offices.
