Vicky in a few words
Hi, I’m Vicky, and I’ve been writing copy and content for businesses for the last ten years.
I’ve been passionate about writing since primary school. I remember having to write a short story; the teacher requested two sides of A4, but I simply couldn’t stop. I handed in several hand-written pages of my adventures in a time machine. I was hooked. Since then, I’ve published several short stories and a novel.
My experiences with fiction have given me many transferable skills that have been invaluable in copywriting. I can write in many different tones of voice, from light-hearted and comedic to serious and professional. I have exceptional attention to detail and will ensure that any content I create for you will be free of inconsistencies. I also excel at organisation and relish working on large, complex projects.
Recent tasks have included online content for a large fluid power company. I was required to do a lot of research for this client (another skill I acquired when writing my novel). I have also developed a script for a corporate video. I’ve written copy for company brochures in my time, as well as technical manuals and product overviews.
In short, I’m happy to create content about anything for anyone… I just love writing!
In my spare time, I enjoy reading – I’m working through a list of ‘100 books to read before you die’ and managed to make it through War & Peace recently. I also enjoy needle-felting and crocheting.
