Tina in a few words
I'm passionate about supporting those new to management or leading a team, having said that much of what I do will add value to anyone in a managerial role.

My goal is to ensure that managers have the skills and confidence to maintain, develop and grow successful, high performing teams. Successful teams benefit from increased productivity, reduced absenteeism, high staff engagement and low staff turnover (or higher retention whichever way you want to look at it!)

25 years ago I got my first job with managerial responsibility. Since then I’ve been promoted - more responsibility, bigger teams. I’ve acted up into senior manager roles, managed a whole service and taken on the client role when the service was outsourced.

I’ve experienced good managers, indifferent managers, and toxic managers, probably learning most from the latter!

In those 25 years -

I’ve had to ‘train’ myself in management skills, using either on-line resources, books or good old trial and error!

I’ve designed and carried out several well received training courses in-house.

I’ve managed difficult people, situations, and conversations.

I’ve developed staff, including mentoring my own replacement!

I’ve had the confidence completely knocked out of me - and built myself back up.

I’ve successfully managed different teams of varying sizes and dynamics, so that when vacancies arose there were internal people who wanted to join us.

Being the best manager you can is incredibly rewarding - it’s good for the organisation too!

I’ve learned what works well, and what doesn’t, when it comes to management skills.

Let me help you develop your managers so they don't have to take the same long and painful journey I took.
