Steven in a few words
A driven and experienced avionics systems engineer with 33 years experience working for the Ministry Of Defence. The last 20 years have been spent researching, defining and developing Test Procedures using Automatic Test Equipment to test avionics from system to component level. I have worked closely with MoD stakeholders to investigate airworthiness issues such as Undemanded Aircraft Maneuvers caused by manufacturing problems, Operational Flight Software issues and counterfeit component purchases by NATO. I have presented findings and conclusions to both Industry and MoD as well as US DoD and USAF, NAVAIR and USMC relating to continuing airworthiness awareness and highlighting potential airworthiness issues relating to Maintenance Repair & Overhaul activities. I am a member of the Royal Aeronautical Society and the IEEE to assist in my continuous professional development. I have written peer review papers and given presentations in the UK and the US on long term system Test and Sustainment at Industry and Government forums.
