I was the founding editor of Hole & Corner, which was named one of the top 5 independent magazines by The Guardian.
I have also been Deputy Editor of i-D magazine, Associate Editor of both Arena and Esquire magazines and Editor of Channel 4’s music website. I was Editor-in-Chief of Virgin Media customer communications, overseeing an integrated multi-channel strategy including an award-winning print title (described by judges as ‘like looking at the future of magazines’) and digital solutions consisting of email, social media and apps for a combined audience of 3.2million.
I began my career writing for The Face magazine, and consulted on its recent relaunch, and also contribute to Wallpaper*, The Guardian, The Times and Wired, and as Editor at Large (London) for The Impression.
I am a published author (The Story of Tools and The Great British Tree Biography, both Pavilion) and a copywriter and brand consultant (Bang & Olufsen, Harvard GSD, Sothebys, BBH, The Economist, Barclays, The Guardian, Walmart, Benchmark, Maserati).
