Margaret Leigh in a few words

What makes for good social video?

It’s pretty simple, actually — though creative agencies and “social gurus” might have you think otherwise. It has to be interesting! It’s stories told well.

I’ve been working in the digital content space for over ten years and watched some of the Goliath platforms come and go (have worked for a handful of them). And of course, many new ones have since come along with so-called experts ready to over-explain how to game the system. This is often expensive and ultimately, ineffective. When looking to take your content to the next level, seek a content creator — someone who can get in the trenches with you and has the hard skills to actually create and implement your vision…and not just talk about it.

From the early days of an idea, all the way through to a video’s release, I am at the helm of the creative process and editing workflow — conducting research and interviews, filming, cutting and editing footage, designing and animating style frames, as well as developing and executing on a distribution strategy that makes the most sense for you and your goals.

I can work independently or within an existing team, providing insight and experience from PBS, Forbes, BuzzFeed News, the World Economic Forum, UN, OECD, the World Resources Institute, and Erborian (L’Occitane en Provence).
