Lucy in a few words

I have most recently worked as a Graphic Designer for XL Displays, working within an in-house team to design and create large scale graphics for print, for high profile clients such as Warner Brothers, Sky, Disney, etc. This role has required me to work to tight deadlines, organise meetings with clients, take detailed briefs, and work diligently and efficiently to reduce bounce backs and amendments. In this role I have also created floorplans and 3D visuals of event spaces to help translate my ideas to my clients. In this role I have utilised and refined my knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite, using Illustrator and Photoshop daily, and I have extended my knowledge of SolidWorks to create mock ups and visuals of large scale event spaces. Whilst working in this team, I set new records for the highest number of designs signed off with no amendments, both as an overall average (85%), and as a single month record (97%).

My previous employment artworking for Moonpig.com, saw me working alongside freelance and in-house artists to design and prepare greeting cards for both print and digital viewing. This role required me to have expert knowledge of design softwares such as Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator and has also introduced me to the practice of HTML and coding for digital design. Whilst I am comfortable working with such softwares, Moonpig also required me to be highly adaptable as I had to learn two new softwares of their own: Product Designer and CMS.

My earlier employment at Creative Design & Print Ltd helped me gain valuable experience designing both products, packaging, and website features for one of the major clients, with me ultimately becoming their primary designer. Additionally, this role expanded my early print experience, as many clients such as The Calendar Club Ltd. required me to work through the entire design-to-print process from first conception, to final proof and print finishing.
