Leonora Barbieri, digital illustration

Leonora Barbieri was born in Garbagnate Mi, she studied at the Art School 'U. Boccioni 'in Milan,

within which organized student exhibitions, participated in theater classes and a workshop

held by the artist Alessandro Quaranta.

Passionate about dance, she studied ballet and modern dance, stage follows and teaches Modern dance. She has a degree of Painting, Visual Arts Department at the Academyof Fine Arts of Brera and a second degree of New Technologies at the same Academy.

Leonora has participated in her first group show in Plymoth, UK, entitled ‘The Imaginary Beings an Art, Music & PerformancesFundraising Extravaganza’, 8 October 2011, with work 'Look from within'.

For one year she lived and study at the Willem de Kooning Academy in Rotterdam, NL.

With the Art degrees and the experience developed in this years, Leonora now teaches Art in a middle school close to Milan and works as illustrator for reggae/dancehall events.

An art event that turns into a real life experience, where art becomes a world of discovery, a place where the boundaries of reality and imagination collapse, to open our eyes on new and powerful visions. Leonora Barbieri and Polina Climova are exhibiting "Look from within" an photography's installation; this is a collaboration of two photographers who discover a world frozen in time in a journey through decay. Breaking into Antonini ex Psychiatric Hospital , Barbieri and Climova are presented with an extraordinary world, as terrifying as mesmerizing .The objects were left in the original places and positions, creating a feeling of normal and daily reality, but that now seems crystallized in a ever- lasting pause inhabited by invisible entities. Here the lens of the camera investigate the entropy of time and its ghostly presences , as if waiting for someone, someone that had left the room, interrupting what he was doing, and should return at any moment.
