I will bring to your project a self-motivated and innovative mindset, and proven skills in multiple communications disciplines including strategic communications planning, media and public relations, proactive and reactive media handling, integrated campaign development, social media strategy and development, stakeholder engagement, and internal communications.

I have very strong written and interpersonal skills, and relationship-building skills gained in a variety of high profile public sector roles including UK and Welsh Government, private sector FMCG (SPAR supermarkets), SMEs and charities.

I'm also bringing proven ability to seek, find and promote solutions for the barriers people face, and the ability to deliver projects from inception to delivery, as evidenced in my work for the Welsh Government Ministers for Brexit and Social Justice.

I'm particularly interested in developing communications strategy which promotes equalities and delivers behaviour change.

During Covid, I represented Welsh Government to support the Covid vaccination programme, particularly addressing the sensitivities, and fears, of the black, Asian and minority ethnic community.

I worked extensively with external stakeholders , and used my relationship-building and stakeholder management skills to develop and deliver successful campaigns including drafting thought leadership articles and opinion editorials.

While leading proactive media for communities and equalities policy areas for the Welsh Government, I developed strong relationships with leading race equality influencers and advisers to promote and demonstrate equality, diversity and inclusion, and pitched, drafted and published articles in regional press in partnership with influencers.

I am experienced in advising and briefing senior leaders (including Ministers) in interview techniques and key messaging prior to print and broadcast interviews.
