- MAYU DesignCo-Founder | MAYU Design | 马与鱼设计 | BeijingJuly 2021 - Today (3 years and 10 months)Beijing, China马与鱼 (MAYU) is a design studio in Beijing founded by 小 马 (XIAOMA) and 大鱼 (DAYU), two French designers living in China for the past 3 years. 小马 (XIAOMA) is an interior designer graduated in France in 2017 and 大鱼 (DAYU) is a Civil Engineer and Architect graduated in France in 2017. For the last 3 years they worked and experienced different companies in Beijing, Shanghai and Shenzhen. 小马 and 大鱼 have traveled and worked in many countries like France (Paris), Germany (Berlin), United States (New-York) and Scotland (Endinburgh) before China. Always adapting to the local culture, they worked at different scales such as urban planning, architecture, interior design and furniture design. Recently, they designed and built mainly in Beijing and Shanghai, apartments, restaurants, stores, public places and houses. Today 马与鱼 wants to experience their own philosophy in design. A philosophy based on the inhabitants needs, and on an interaction between space, materials and culture with the human beeings. They propose in one hand a story taking into account the intentions of the inhabitants, the constraints of the site and also a strong vision of the society. A society which today is facing some challenges between different values like tradition and modernity, fast and slow interactions, movement and stillness, consumerisism and sustainability. Our design is placed in this "in between", with a sensitivity and consciousness of those challenges. In each project, we tell a story of our world. 马与鱼 (MAYU ) 是上北京一家设计工作室 , 由小马和大鱼 创立 , 两位法国设计师在中国生活了3年。 小马2017年毕 业于法国 , 是一名室内设计师 ; 大鱼是一名土木工程师和 建筑师 , 2017年毕业于法国。 在过去的3年中 , 他们在北 京、 上海和深圳的不同公司工作。 小马和大鱼在中国之前 , 曾在法国 ( 巴黎 ) 、 德国 ( 柏 林 ) 、 美国 ( 纽约 ) 和苏格兰 ( 恩丁堡 ) 等许多国家旅行 和工作。 他们能够很好的融入当地文化 , 在城市规划、 建 筑、 室内设计和家具设计等不同领域开展工作。 最近 , 他 们主要在北京和上海设计和建造公寓、 餐厅、 商店、 公共 场所和住宅。 今天马与鱼想要让自己的设计理念被大家体验。 他们的设 计理念基于居民需求的同时 , 融入空间、 用料、 文化与人 类生活相互作用的哲学。 他们提出的设计理念充分考虑到 居民需要、 设计场地的限制以及社会愿景。 今天的社会面临着传统与现代、 快速与慢速互动、 运动与 静止、 消费主义与可持续性等不同价值观之间的挑战。 我 们通过敏锐的感受和觉察 , 让设计处于这些挑战的"中 间" , 以取得一种舒适的平衡。 在每一个项目 中 , 我们都 会讲述一个关于我们世界的故事。
