I help Defra to continue digitally transforming their Apply for plant export certificates and inspections (PHES) and Export health certificates (EHCO) services. This involves designing new features for emerging business requirements, iterating the services to meet outstanding user needs plus also helping PHES through their live internal assessment. My main responsibilities include ideating, sketching, designing user journeys, flows, producing low (e.g. Axure) to high fidelity accessible prototypes (e.g. GOV.UK prototyping kit), validating all designs (e.g. WCAG accessibility tool, usability testing, user research sessions) mapping out user journeys and working closely with stakeholders across these projects.

We provide specialised digital services for a local, national and international client base. Our core services include user experience, user centred design, service design, digital transformation plus consultancy on agile methodologies and working to UK government standards (e.g. the GDS Service Standard). We also offer front end web development, SEO and project management services.

I provided UX consultancy services to the Home Office and Border Force so that they were able to continue enhancing and improving their new and existing services. I produced designs and content for these services, validated the designs with end users of the services with user research, plus I ensured that these services met internal design standards plus the Government Digital Service (GDS) Service Standard. My main responsibilities included ideating, sketching, designing user journeys, flows, producing low (e.g. Balsamiq Wireframes) to mid fidelity prototypes (e.g. Axure) validating all designs with user research (e.g. remote usability testing) and working closely with all levels of stakeholders across Border Force.
