Qualified as an industrial chemist (HNC/LRIC), studied for a DMS and worked for ICI and American Cyanamid in production supervision, management and safety job roles. Whilst with Messer Griesheim I started a joint venture operation as General Manager in Chengdu, China to produce nitrogen generators and remained in China for 4 years setting up wholly owned foreign enterprises involving cryogenic air separation plants and on-site mobile high pressure nitrogen systems for enhance oil recovery.

Left the corporate world in 2001 and established a 50/50 CAD studio in Tianjin to produce architect & house builder images, walkthrough animations and eventually physical scale models to sell into the UK & Ireland market through Idrawfast.com Ltd. I registered Idrawfast.com Ltd in March 2001 and changed the name to Wedrawfast two years later. The company was sold in 2015 has a going concern.

After recharging my batteries I worked as a marketing consultant for China based L & F Studio and generated significant orders until the start of the Covid pandemic.

Since 2016 I have been engaged as a business consultant for a Qatari based industrial gas company; initially to identify the causes for poor sales in the specialty gas sector and offer remedial solutions. Inputs into production, quality assurance procedures and sales presentation contributed to major contract awards with the refineries.

Now currently working on a project to grow a micro algae strain in photo bioreactors that contains valuable caretenoids and developing a commercially viable system to separate extract the carontenoids and the lipids in pure forms. This project has and is involves, amongst others, working with Qatar, Birmingham, Loughborough, Southampton and Almeria universities.

I am a team builder, get to the nub of an issue/problem quickly and always on the lookout on how "it" can be done quicker or more effectively.
