Brian in a few words
I am experienced in editing texts such as letters of motivation, company newsletters, advertisements, and scholarly articles. Much of my recent experience has been in editing articles on medieval philosophy.
I seek clear expectations before I edit and maintain communication while editing so that those expectations are fulfilled. I also add helpful feedback in my edits so that my clients know why I make certain suggestions and can learn from them.
Although my communication is mostly in English, my German level is B2. My French is C1, and my Spanish is also C1. I also speak B1 Portuguese as well as B1 Mandarin.
To tell you a bit about myself, I've been teaching languages (French, Spanish, and English) for the last 10 years. I also create videos explaining English grammar (you can view them on the lingoni ENGLISH YouTube channel). Because I’ve taught students from many countries, I’m aware of typical mistakes made by speakers of a variety of languages.

Brian is probably the most serious and reliable proofreader with whom I have collaborated. I have been relying on Brian's amazing work for some time now and I can only say good things about our collaboration. His commitment to work is utter as well as his dedication to always find the best way to express a concept or an idea in English.
Working in academia means that I often have to deal with strict deadlines and little time to approach them. As a result, the proofreader's reliability is of the utmost importance for me. This is yet another reason why I strongly recommend Brian: if he commits to a deadline, rest assured that he will meet it. And he will do so while preserving the high level of his proofreading!
In a nutshell, Brian is an excellent proof-reader and, in my experience, his high degree of reliability and commitment can seldom be found among academic proofreaders.

Brian has been a delight to work with! He’s not only an excellent English teacher, but he’s very creative and makes learning fun and practical for our students. He loves to come up with new and interesting ways to teach and is always prepared for all lessons, videos, live lessons, etc. He’s always ready to lend a helping hand to his fellow colleagues and students and is consistently reliable with his work.
I can warmly recommend Brian, as he is a very skilled teacher and editor. It has been a pleasure working with him through the last years.
